UNECE Interview
“We will regulate AEB for passenger cars and light vehicles within the next 2 years. We are also drafting the requirements for [car] information to be kept on the system. This suggests a sort of black box where a set of data is securely stored for a certain time.”
As part of the research for the Autonomous Vehicle Global Study, we interviewed François Guichard
, the UN Secretary for Vehicle Active Safety at the
United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE)
He gave a very thorough overview of the work being done as part of the update of the Regulation 79 to regulate the autonomous vehicles for over 50 countries.
